We’re so proud of you, Mary! Best of luck in the finals!

We held a special lunch for future residents recently. Held at the Smeg demo kitchen, the event provided an opportunity for purchasers to familiarise themselves with their new appliances and enjoy a delightful meal.

Over 20 guests attended the event, representing all 20 apartments in Building 7. The day was a success, as attendees not only learned about their Smeg kitchen appliances but also had the chance to meet their soon-to-be neighbours.

The lunch was great fun, with guests appreciating the opportunity to connect with each other over good food and shared excitement about their future homes. The event highlighted Pavilions’ commitment to building a strong sense of community even before the residents move in.

We proudly launched Stage Two of our stunning community on April 11. The milestone event marked the completion of a new Wellness Hub and the addition of 66 modern retirement apartments.

The opening ceremony was attended by 200 guests, including residents, future residents and local and federal government officials. Special guest speakers included, Hon Michael Sukkar MP, Federal Member for Deakin and Cr Denise Massoud, Mayor of the City of Whitehorse.

In his address, Michael Sukkar emphasised the significant benefits of retirement communities, particularly highlighting Pavilions Blackburn Lake’s positive impact on the local area. He praised the development for fostering a supportive and enriching environment for its residents.

Denise Massoud commended Pavilions for its valuable contribution to the immediate and wider community. She highlighted the enhanced amenities and community spirit that developments like Pavilions bring to the City of Whitehorse.

Following the official speeches and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests explored the new Wellness Hub. The state-of-the-art facility features a gym, pool, salon and several lounges designed to promote physical and mental wellbeing. With Stage 2 now open, we look forward to welcoming new residents and fostering an even stronger sense of community.

Continuing our successful partnership, we have once again entrusted Ironside Construction as our builder for Stage 3. Known for their expertise in delivering top-tier residential developments, Ironside has demonstrated their capability with the successful completion of Stage 2 at Pavilions.

The team at Ironside have hit the ground running. Piling and excavation works have already been completed and tower crane has been installed.  The basement slab is almost completed and precast sections have already started to be craned into place.

We have some recent photos from our builder to give you a glimpse of the progress. With construction moving ahead at this rate, we anticipate Stage 3 to be finalised by around mid-2025. We know that new Stage 3 purchasers cannot wait to move into their new homes and we are also thankful of the support of current residents as construction continues.

Great news from our building site! Stage 2 construction is progressing rapidly with our builder reporting they are on schedule.

Despite unusually wet weather through winter and spring, work has progressed steadily and we remain on track for scheduled completion of Stage 2 by the end of 2023.

On Tuesday 22 April, the Pavilions project team, along with members of the Seventh-day Adventist Victorian Conference celebrated the turning of the sod for Stage 2 of Pavilions Blackburn Lake. Construction of Stage 2 was officially launched by the Federal Member for Deakin, Hon. Michael Sukkar, with speeches by Ward Councillors, Denise Massoud and Prue Cutts, Galen Gan, the Project Lead, Luke Skurrie from Ironside Construction and Pr. Graeme Christian from Victorian Adventists.  Together with Advent Care CEO David Reece, helped along by Ironside Construction, the first sod was turned. Future residents were welcomed to celebrate the event, with morning tea provided by Miss Lucy, operators of the café at Pavilions. This stage features a pool and wellbeing centre, citrus orchard and vegetable gardens, complementing the existing community facilities, including a cinema, resident lounge, private dining and games room. Already a thriving community, retirement apartments in Stage 2 are selling quickly, with almost half reserved at the time of the sod turn.

Ironside, a highly regarded builder of quality boutique contemporary residences, have been appointed to commence construction on Stage 2 and will be onsite in late February.

Presales have been enormously popular, with over one third already reserved. Stage 2 comprises 66 apartments across three low-rise apartment buildings positioned amongst a tree protection zone. Perfect for nature lovers, positioned across the road from Blackburn Lake Sanctuary.

Stage 2 also features a wellness centre complete with pool, gym, health bar, consulting rooms for visiting health professionals and an orchard walk with fruit trees, vegetable planters and landscaped gardens with bocce and barbeques.
